3D-Modeling Free Cad

Object 1: For this object it wasn't too diffuclt my only problem was the time, because I was using the step by step version on wikipedia, but ulteiamtely switched over to the youtube tutorials as it was easier for me to figure out the build. Although it took some time it helped me understand most of the tools in free cad. I feel like this helped me for the next two objects that I was going to do.
Object 2: For object I struggled to find inspiration becauase I didnt want to go the same route of a typical cable holder, so I took up alot of time with a design. While I thought of my design I measure my desk thickness and it was 40mm so I knew I had to make a thicker build because my desk my bigger than usual. Then I came up with a sketch, which looked like a thick clip that was a rectangle cut on the inside alot so it can fit my desk. After I used a cylinder cut up in half so the cale go throuh it and it was part of another rectanglurlar block that was on top of the clip that I sketched. At first I didnt know what the measurements were for the cylinder because of the cable size, once I found the measurements of it everything else became smoother and simpler. Overall I think my design of my object came out well and I felt like it was close to what I had in mind before I started. I feel like this build could actually be resourceful for my desk as the dimensions were met properly. Photo of my desk:

Object 3: For this object I had many different ideas because I wasn't sure exaclty what two things could connect without being flipped that I actually knew how to make on free cad. After many tutroials and ideas I ultimately led to a two piece contraption of a bolt and a nut. The only thing left to do was actaully sketch and and design it. For my sketch I made a bolt and a nut that didn't look to good because I'm not much of an artist when it comes to drawing.
After this sketch I went into free cad and started watching videos of how to do the bolt and nut. Having to use the additive helix, which I had never used before was a struggle at first, but after a couple hours of tutorials I finished my build. The main things I had to do was adjust the lengths and widths of both the objects so they could fit once they are put together. The nut was pretty simple I just put two circles and put the thread pitch and adjused the lengths until everything fit and for the bolt the steps were pretty similar because I just had to get the threaded rod shape and from there just enter the pitch and height until the length I wanted to and eventually everything came out great. Overall, I feel like I learned many new tools and softwares with this unit and I'm excited what the next unit will bring.
